We booked an apartment, all look run down from outside and could do with keeping up with paint work and maintenance of the appearance of the apartments. Inside the apartment was good plenty of space for what we needed, mainly clean - although living room floor you could see the dirt needed a good clean and and it had a funny smell in living room especially near the fridge it smelt like urine!! Fridge however was clean and tidy!
The Swimming pool was clean and tidy - cannot fault.
Entertainment was good, downside was shows only have 15 minutes between them in different stages so with x2 children it was a rush to get across quick enough to get a seat.
We opted for the dine in at butlins the first night we went in and the food looked dreadful, what we did try was horrendous!! We went to look at the premium dining plan and it had a few extras plus the same as the standard dining plan, Needless to say we cancelled it with a wait of 14 days to get money returned. Fairground was good, however electric signs in tent says one price for go Karts yet different (higher) price when purchasing. Overall it was a good break away, we luckily got a deal however if I'd of paid full price I wouldn't of been pleased, however for what we Paid with few negatives we where happy and daughter had an amazing time.
Family short break over half term. 4th time and we were a little concerned post covid but Butlins stepped up yes its different yes you have to book and things are limited. We couldn't get into bowling which was a shame but overall we watched and did everything we wanted circus & wrestling were great, ludo s and the pool are fantastic ALL the staff were superb and friendly diligent in enforcing the rules in sometimes difficult circumstances well done to all the other families also who appeared to observe the rules. Our children are a little older now so were not sure if we'll go back but we said that last year.
